(Travel) Our Short Summer Getaway ~ kaya toast and kopi

Yesterday, our family went to a resort for a quick summer outing. The kids had so much fun in the pool even if the heat reached almost unbearable levels. My two-year-old, who had never enjoyed swimming before, was so relaxed in the water this time she didn't mind that the pool was four feet deep (she was using a tube the whole time). It probably helped that her dad was accompanying her instead of someone who doesn't know how to swim, i.e., me.

Here are some of the pictures I took of the resort we stayed at. It was nestled deep in the countryside, past farmlands and between hills and forests. I plan to take my parents and brothers there soon because the view was amazing - it overlooked a line of windmills hundreds of kilometers away and it also gave us a peek of the ocean. The wind was also cool and refreshing as there were lots of trees in the area. Overall, a really nice place to unwind and have fun with the family.
